Warm Touch – Winter Blanket Drive

    • Lifeline Foundation

    • 150 blankets distributed

    • Reduced winter vulnerability

    • Direct humanitarian assistance delivered

  • 5 & 12 December 2025

On 5 and 12 December 2025, the “Warm Touch” Winter Blanket Drive was conducted across multiple vulnerable localities in Bengaluru, focusing on homeless individuals, elderly citizens, migrant workers, and pavement dwellers who are highly exposed to harsh winter conditions. During colder months, those living without adequate shelter face increased risks of respiratory infections, weakened immunity, and other cold-related health complications.

This initiative was implemented in collaboration with Lifeline Foundation to ensure organized outreach and proper identification of high-need zones. Prior to distribution, volunteers conducted ground-level assessments in areas such as bus stands, roadside settlements, underpasses, and informal housing clusters to identify individuals most at risk.

The drive included the distribution of warm blankets, woollen caps, and socks to provide layered protection against low nighttime temperatures. Volunteers ensured direct, hand-to-hand distribution to maintain dignity and avoid duplication. Special attention was given to elderly beneficiaries and individuals with visible health vulnerabilities.

In addition to distribution, volunteers engaged beneficiaries in short conversations, checking for immediate health concerns and guiding them toward available local support services where applicable. The initiative emphasized compassion, safety, and respectful interaction, ensuring that each individual felt acknowledged and supported rather than overlooked.

By conducting the drive across multiple high-risk areas in Bengaluru, the project extended immediate seasonal protection while reinforcing a culture of responsive and humane community outreach.
