On 17 January 2026, an extensive upcycled educational kit distribution drive was conducted at the Government High Primary School in Channahalli, Bengaluru, to support students from economically disadvantaged families and promote sustainable practices. Many children in this region face challenges such as lack of proper footwear, inadequate school supplies, and limited access to basic educational resources, which directly affect attendance, comfort, and learning continuity.

The initiative was implemented in collaboration with GreenSole Foundation and Fuel A Dream. The project focused on combining educational support with environmental responsibility by distributing school kits made from recycled and upcycled materials.

Each student received a carefully curated kit that included durable footwear made from recycled materials, a sturdy school bag, and a study mat to enable comfortable home learning. The footwear addressed a critical need, as many children travel long distances to school without proper shoes, increasing the risk of injury and absenteeism. The school bags were designed to withstand daily wear and tear, ensuring long-term usability.

In addition to distribution, an awareness session was conducted to educate students about sustainability, recycling practices, and environmental conservation. Volunteers explained how discarded materials can be repurposed into useful products, encouraging children to adopt responsible environmental habits. The distribution process was organized class-wise to ensure orderly management and equal access for all 754 students.

The initiative not only reduced immediate material hardships but also reinforced the importance of sustainable innovation in community development. By integrating environmental consciousness with educational support, the project created both social and ecological impact within the Channahalli community.
