On 20 December 2025, the “Tiny Hearts, Mighty Battles” fundraising gala was organized at Taj MG Road in Bengaluru to raise critical financial support for children diagnosed with congenital heart defects (CHD) from economically disadvantaged families. Congenital heart disease remains one of the leading birth defects in India, and timely surgical intervention is often life-saving but financially out of reach for low-income households.
This initiative was conducted in collaboration with Bangalore East Round Table 27, Needy Heart Foundation, and Genesis Foundation. The event was designed as a structured fundraising platform bringing together corporate donors, philanthropists, medical partners, and community leaders under one cause.
Prior to the event, identified pediatric cases were verified through medical documentation, cardiology assessments, and financial background checks conducted by partner NGOs. Each child’s case profile included diagnosis details (such as septal defects, valve abnormalities, or complex congenital conditions), estimated surgical cost, hospital requirements, and post-operative care needs.
Funds raised during the event were directly allocated toward:
Cardiac surgery expenses (operation theatre, surgeon fees, anesthesia, and medical consumables)
Pre-surgery diagnostics including echocardiograms and blood tests
ICU and post-operative hospitalization
Follow-up consultations and recovery support
Transparent reporting mechanisms ensured that donors received case updates and impact documentation. The event included beneficiary storytelling, medical expert insights on congenital heart disease, and structured donor engagement to build trust and accountability.
Through this targeted financial mobilization effort, children who were on waiting lists due to lack of funds were able to receive timely surgical intervention, significantly improving survival rates and long-term quality of life.
